Drs. Greg and Joanne Szalai are a husband-and-wife dental team known throughout the Detroit metro area for their advanced training, gentle approach, and genuine commitment to patient comfort. For decades, they’ve created a warm, family-centered practice where patients feel heard, cared for, and never judged.

Both doctors earned their Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry — Dr. Greg in 1987 and Dr. Joanne in 1990. After dental school, Dr. Greg completed a general practice residency at the Medical College of Ohio, while Dr. Joanne completed hers at the Allen Park VA Hospital. Their dedication to excellence never stopped there. They continue to advance their skills with extensive continuing education, including studies at the Kois Center, CEREC Scottsdale Center, LSU Cosmetic Continuum, the Dawson Academy, the Pankey Institute, and the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum (PAC-Live).

Their training spans cosmetic, restorative, and general dentistry, allowing them to provide everything from dental implants to Invisalign with precision, compassion, and a focus on long-term oral health.

Dr. Greg and Dr. Joanne are active members of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Detroit District Dental Society, and the Crown Council — professional communities that keep them connected to the latest advancements in dentistry.
